Spring 2009 Team Tryouts

The SASC Devils98 Under-10 Girls Competetive Team is looking to add players to its roster for the 2009 spring season. Eligibility requires players birthday fall between 8/1/98 and 7/31/99. The Devils recently concluded their 2008 Fall league season, posting an undefeated 8-0-2 record. They will finish no lower than 2nd place in the Delgado Class 3 standings (pending the outcome of games to be played by other teams in the league).

The team is also looking to fill a permanent goalkeeper position.

The coaching philosophy is focused on developing soccer and life skills as a team. While the Devils have already shown great success, the coaching staff emphasizes player progression throughout the lineup. 9 of 12 roster players scored in the recently concluded league season, which demonstrates the commitment to balanced development of is players.

If you are interested in trying out for our team, there are two options available (Please let us know you are coming by e-mailing the head coach Sonya Lee [sonyahwlee@yahoo.com] so that we can convey any schedule changes.):

1) Come to a Devils practice:

- November 29th at Cupertino Middle School (Corner of Homestead & Bernardo, SV), 10:30am to Noon

- December 2nd at Washington Park (255 Pastoria Ave, SV 94086), 4:30 to 6:00pm

Players need to bring cleats, shin guards, water bottle.


2) Attend the Sunnyvale Alliance Spring 2009 Competitive Tryouts on:

Sat 12/13/2008 & Sun 12/14/2008, 12:00pm – 1:30pm both days at the Sunnyvale Soccer Complex at 1095 Dunford Way, Sunnyvale, CA 94087.

Players need to bring cleats, shin guards, water bottle.

Please note: Tryouts will take place unless there is a significant rainfall.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for registration.

If you are interested in getting a sense for the Devils level of play, come watch us scrimmage another competitive team on November 20th, 4:30pm, at Cupertino Middle School (corner of Homestead & Bernardo)
